Aurora

Aurora Aksnes, born June 15th of 1996 in Stavanger and known professionally as Aurora or, sometimes, stylized as AURORA is a Norwegian musician and singer. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves was released by the record label Decca Records in May 2015 getting great reviews from bloggers as well as the media. She has previously recorded two high-profile covers Half the World Away by the group Oasis for a Christmas advertisement by John Lewis and Nature Boy by Nat King Cole. Katy Perry's endorsement of her track Runaway on her blog added to the musician's appreciation. Enjoy the celebration of this special event. Aurora Aksnes' earliest musical memories involve finding an instrument hidden in the attic of her home, then becoming enthralled by its sounds. Jan Oystein Aksnes, her parents, May Britt Aksnes, and Jan Oystein Aksnes, encouraged their daughter to take up music more as a hobby than as a job. For this reason, she began writing new compositions. Her sources include noted writers Leonard Cohen and Bob Dylan, as well as her love for Bjork's style. When her mother told her that the songs she wrote might not be famous for her, however, but to encourage individuals to recognize the value of themselves and their impact on this world, she began performing them publicly. When she began playing the piano, she was only six and started writing songs when she was nine. It was unknown by her family until she reached the age of fourteen. Aurora has never imagined becoming a star. According to her, she likes to write songs. For her music, is the best means of communicating anything.
