Ariel Gail
Professor Gail S. Goodman is the Distinguished Professor of Psychology as well as director of the Center for Public Policy Research at the University of California Davis. Her name is widely praised as the pioneer of modern research of child eyewitness memories as well as using children who have been abused to be legal witnesses. Professor Goodman has published numerous papers she has received grants from numerous sources and received several international and national awards. She has collaborated with numerous organisations and governments across the world on research and policies relating to children who are victims of the legal system. She serves as a consultant for the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center which was previously known as the Multidisciplinary Interview Center - of Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She holds memberships in many professional groups, such as the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. Professor Goodman is a member of the Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children as a founding member, International Society for the Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect and the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She is the former president of American Psychological Association Divisions for Child and Family Policy and Practice Division American Psychology Law Society and Division Developmental Psychology.
